My name is Christopher Mulligan LCSW. I am a graduate of the USC School of Social Work (class of 1992) and since graduation I have worked as group therapist in adult mental health settings, a family therapist and teacher within a therapeutic preschool, a clinical supervisor of an adolescent day treatment program, mental health consultant for both public and non-public schools, and Clinical Director of an adult OCD and Anxiety Clinic. Since 1997 I have been in private practice and have specialized in family therapy, couples therapy, in-home behavior therapy, forensic evaluations, group therapy (depression management, bipolar support, technology addiction, OCD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for anxiety) and individual cognitive behavioral therapy.

In 2000 I created GroupWorks West and began to facilitate social skills groups. Over the past 20 years I have worked with more than 750 children, teens, and adults with social-developmental disabilities.  GroupWorks West now focuses on teens and adults -- ranging in age from 15 to 32.

In addition to facilitating groups, I meet on a monthly basis with parents/caregivers to provide feedback about group progress and to provide guidance for enhancing socialization/relationship development with in the home, school, and broader social community.
